Church Ministry 

Aerobics
Scripture: "Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house."  2 Corinthians 7:1 

Mission Statement: 
The Mission of the Aerobics Ministry is to lead the church in physical fitness using our bodies as temples for worship and life.

Goal(s):
The goals of this ministry is to provide use of exercise and training for the health and discipline of the body.


Beautification Ministry:
Scripture: "Majestic splendor emanates from God;  God's Sanctuary is firmly established and beautiful."  Psalm 96:6

Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Beautification Ministry is to keep the house of God beautiful reflecting God's light.

Goal(s):
To regularly add to the fiscal beauty of the church facilities and grounds. 


Carmel Empowerment
Scripture: "...For the people had a mind to work." Nehemiah 4:6

Mission Statement:
The Mission of Carmel Empowerment, Inc. seeks to create empowering economic, educational, health, family, leadership and cultural structures and institutions to transform the society and the world. 

Goal(s):
The goal of this ministry is to create empowering and holistic structures for residents to develop their potential to the fullest thereby making positive contributions to society and the global village.


Children & Youth Ministry
Scripture: "Train a child in the way they should go; and when they get old, they will not depart from it. " Proverbs 22:6

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Children's Church is to provide training and development to children for the purpose of leading the congregation through worship service

Goal(s):
To provide the mentoring and learning opportunity to children to assume the roles of leadership through scripture and discipleship



Church School
Scripture: "Teach me, Lord what you want me to do, and I will obey you faithfully; teach me to serve you with complete devotion." Psalms 86:11

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Church School is to offer simple yet creative teaching and learning experiences whereby students grow in their relationship with God, their understanding of the Bible and its implication for their Christian life.

Goal(s):
To provide learning experiences for persons of all ages that will enable them to grow in their understanding of the Gospel and how it relates to their daily living.


Couples' Ministry
Scripture:  "Marriage is to be honored by all, and husbands and wives must be faithful to each other." Hebrews 13:4a

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Couples ministry is to address the needs, issues, concerns and conditions of married couples, in a spiritual, systematic and organized manner to increase the quality of life as Christian couples.

Goal(s):
To assist married couples of all ages to spiritually address daily living issues. To increase awareness of stewardship as it relates to their lives together. To provide meaningful fellowship opportunities with other church couples


Finance Ministry
Scripture: "Jehoash called the priest and ordered them to save up the money paid in connection with the sacrifices in the Temple, both the dues paid for the regular sacrifices and the money given as freewill gifts. Each priest was to be responsible for the money brought by those he served, and the money was to be used to repair the Temple, as needed." 2 Kings 12:4-5

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Finance Ministry is to provide viable and functional procedures and operations that will enhance the overall accountability of those assets entrusted to the church.

Goal(s):
To provide proper budgetary development and implementation to insure that functions and financial responsibilities are accomplished and maintained.



Food Service Ministry
Scripture: "Give us today the food we need". Matthew 6:11

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Food Service Ministry is to plan, select, purchase, and prepares wholesome nutritious food for the congregation as well as the community.

Goal(s):
To provide fellowship opportunities for discipleship and community, the sharing of culinary gifts and ideas and to teach various methods for food preparation, service, selection and presentation.



Health Care Ministry
Scripture: "Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; He bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God 's glory." 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Health Care Ministry is to provide opportunities for education and improvement of the healthcare status of the disciples as well as the community.

Goal(s):
To promote lifestyle changes through the use seminars, workshops, physical fitness classes, screenings, nutritional education sessions and health fairs.



LoCaSha Ministry
Scripture: "And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in are Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows."  Exodus 3:7

Mission Statement:
The mission of the LoCaSha/Congregational Care Ministry is to provide assistance to the congregation and the community at-large in areas pertaining to personal and family needs.

Goal(s):
To provide counseling, advice, spiritual and financial support to our church family and the community at-large.



Media Ministry
Scripture: "Finally hearing good news from a distant land is like a drink of cold water when you are dry and thirsty." Proverbs 25:25

Mission Statement:
The mission statement of the Media Ministry is to provide a quality publication and sound for the disciples of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and the entire community that spreads the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Goal(s):
To provide information and sound that encourages the unsaved to become saved and to promote and stimulate communication among the body of Jesus Christ.



Men's Ministry
Scripture: "Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend " Proverbs 27:17

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Men's Ministry is to provide spiritually based information, which inspires, renews and enhances the lives of men to cope with various issues.

Goal(s):
To promote brotherhood in the body of Christ. To enhance prayer life and to evangelize throughout the church and community through a systematic plan of salvation


Missions Ministry
Scripture: "Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you" Matthew 28:19-20

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Mission Ministry is to promote the spreading of the gospel as well as to teach the focus and purpose of missions, and to carry out missionary efforts in the spirit of God 's love and mercy.

Goal(s):
Too consistently offer opportunities for others to become aware of missions and inclusively involved in mission building relationships.


Music Ministry
Scripture (Adult): "It is good to sing praises to our God; it is pleasant and right to praise Him." Psalms 147:1

Scripture (Youth/Children): "Praise him, kings and all peoples, princes and all other rulers; young women and young men, old people and children too. " Psalms 148:11-12

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Music Ministry is to use "Music "as a vehicle for praising God, teaching spiritual concepts and edifying the body of Christ while providing a means for employing various gifts and abilities in the service of God.

Goal(s):
To minister the word of God through music. To provide musical training for the choirs and congregation and enhance congregational singing. To develop and increase music appreciation. To promote Christian fellowship, encourage sacrificial giving through time, talents and treasures through community outreach-ministries


Nomination Ministry
Scripture: "Each one of us has received a special gift in proportion to what Christ has given. He did this to prepare all God's people for the work of the body of Christ." Ephesians 4:7

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Nominating Ministry is to solicit and identify persons allowing them the opportunity to utilize their special gift(s) in the ministries of the church in order to carry out the mandate of Christ. (Matthews 28:19-20)

Goal(s):
To promote the mechanism to fill vacancies for church wide elected officers and volunteers needed in the ministries of the church.



Pastor's Partner Ministry
Scripture: "Being full having received the things which were sent from you, an odor of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, well-pleasing to God." Philippians 4:18

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Pastor's Partners is to provide spiritual, social and financial assistance to the Pastor and the pastor's family. Assisting the Pastor in all personal and professional pursuits.

Goal(s):
Ensuring that the Pastor has all the necessities in tact. Aiding in lifting the load and daily stress from the Pastor which will further empower the Pastor for the task of the ministry



Praise Dance Ministry
Scripture: "Praise him with trumpets. Praise him with harps and lyres. Praise him with drums and dancing. Praise him with cymbals. Praise him with loud cymbals. Praise the Lord, all living creatures! Praise the Lord! Psalms 150:3-6

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Praise Dance Ministry is to glorify God, teach, and provide fellowship opportunities and to compliment the overall ministry of the church. To use "Praise Dance" as a vehicle for praising God, teaching spiritual concepts and edifying the body of Christ. It also provides a means for employing gifts, talents and abilities in service to God.

Goal(s):
To expand the music ministry to include instrumental music and other artistic forms, i.e. creative movement, drama visual and literary art, etc.
Senior Ministry



Senior Ministry
Scripture: "The righteous will flourish like palm trees; they will grow like the cedars of Lebanon. They are like tree planted in the house of the Lord that flourish in the Temple of our God, that still bear fruit in old age and are always green and strong."  Psalms 92-14

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Senior Citizen?s Ministry is to create and provide an environment that will spiritually enrich and address the concerns of Senior Citizens.

Goal(s):

To provide activities that will enhance the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical quality of like in later years.


Single's Ministry
Scripture: "The unmarried is concerned with the Lord's work, because thy want to be dedicated both in body and spirit." 1 Corinthians 7:34 a

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Singles Ministry is to provide activities, which promote, encourage, enhance and exhort our Christian walk with Jesus Christ as a single adult.

Goal(s):
To provide single's opportunities to manifest the Spirit of God through our actions and fellowship with the church and the community.


Stewardship Ministry
Scripture: "Each one, as a good manager of God's different gifts, must use for the good of others, the special gift he has received from God. " 1 Peter 4:10

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Stewardship Ministry is to educate, promote and encourage disciples about what it means to be caretakers of God 's creation.

Goal(s):
To equip congregants for growth as responsible stewards. To enable the church to fulfill its mission and ministry through stewardship



Sunday Morning Institute
Scripture: "Teach me, Lord what you want me to do and I will obey you faithfully; teach me to serve you with complete devotion. " Psalms 86:11

Mission Statement:

Transportation Ministry
Scripture: "On the same day two of Jesus' followers were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem , and they were talking to each other about all the things that had happened .As they talked and discussed, Jesus himself drew near and walked along with them. " Luke 24:13-15

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Transportation Ministry is to provide opportunities for evangelism and provide transportation for the ministries and the congregation.

Goal(s):
To provide mission experiences for the ministries, the congregation, and the community and to provide transportation for ministry opportunities outside of the church


Ushers Ministry
Scripture: "I would rather be a door keeper in the house of my God than live in the tents
of the wicked. " Psalms 84:10b

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Ushers Ministry is to greet and provide for congregants, ensuring that their needs are met while providing a watchful eye of service over all.

Goal(s):
To educate, promote and encourage responsibility and stewardship through the hospitable service.



Family Life Conference
Scripture: "Teach me, Lord what you want me to do and I obey you faithfully; teach me to serve you with complete devotion. Psalms 86:11

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Family Life Conference is to offer a week of simple yet creative teaching and learning experiences whereby students grow in their relationship with God, their understanding of the Bible and its implication for their Christian life.

Goal(s):
To promote the spread of the good news of Jesus; provide structured Biblical training, fellowship opportunities and crafts for all ages.


Women's Ministry

Scripture: "Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised. " Proverbs 31:30

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Women's Ministry is to provide spiritually based information, which inspires, renews and enhances the lives of women to cope with various issues.

Goal(s):
To promote sisterhood in the body of Christ. To enhance prayer life and to evangelize throughout the church, and community through a systematic plan of salvation


Young Adult Ministry
Scripture: "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an examples of the believers, in spirit , in faith, in purity." 
I Timothy 4:12

Mission Statement:
The mission of Young Adult Ministry is to glorify God with spiritual renewal, growth and development into likeness of Christ with dedication and devotion to the Master 's Kingdom

Goal(s):
To provide spiritual, economic, social and educational ministries for young adults engaging present day realities Providing opportunities for a wholesome functioning community


Youth Ministry
Scripture: "And Jesus increased in wisdom and in statue and in favor with God and man"  Luke 2:52

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Youth Ministry is to seek out young people and provide ministries that are relevant to our times and situations

Goal(s):
To create an environment of acceptance, love and direction in Christian living and develop the young into the likeness of Christ
