In the early 1880 ’s a large group was baptized into the membership of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. Among those baptized were the late Mr. William Henry White and his wife the late Mrs. Kate Garnett White.

Mr. White, having felt the urge of greater service to God and man, launched forth on a venture, which widened his sphere of influence.
